SpriteGrid

How to use SpriteGrid

Exporting

Everything is in File ▸ Export. Every export includes the layers' effects.

Images#

PNG... exports the document as it looks, at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 times its size, pixels kept square.

Animations#

  • Sprite Sheet... lays every frame out in a grid: as square as it can, or with the columns and rows you choose, with padding between frames and power-of-two sizes if you want them.
  • Image Sequence... saves each frame as a PNG of its own, numbered, in a folder you pick.

Tiles#

For a document of tiles: Atlas Tile... saves the selected tile, All Atlas Tiles... saves one PNG per tile, Atlas Sheet... lays every tile out as the Atlas panel does, and Atlas Grid... saves the map you've placed.

Slices#

For a document with slices: Slice... and All Slices... save slices as PNGs of their own, and Slice Sheet... packs them into one, with a JSON file of positions, nine-slice insets, pivots and points.

Quick Export#

Quick Export (Alt+Shift+E) repeats the last export, to the same file, in one keystroke: change the art, press it, and the game has it.
